Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology Tour

On April 9, 2013 we went to the Hamilton Steam Museum for a tour. It was very interesting and informative. When we went there we learned about how the engines work on how the water is compressed in the cylinder part of the front and turned into steam and how all the excess water in the tubes is reused into the next water after they run out in the cylinder. Some of the engine companies they used are called Stewart. We also learned that the metal part that moves the wheel is sort of like a see-saw. There are 2 of them and in between the see-saws there is a walking beam to fix that part of the lever or to get to one end to the other It was hard for the people that oiled the steam engines because of the cups used to oil it, some parts are easy to oil and some parts can cut your fingers off.
