End Of Year Camp 2007

This weekend was the last weekend camp for the year. We only had having fun, we did what ever we wonted like swimming, fishing, canoing, man hut, biking ect. This camp is also at a new location, Valens.
On the friday when everyone got there we set up the kitchen and our tents. Then we had a short meeting about the camp. After the meeting we rode bikes till mug up. Last thing on friday is everyone going to bed for the night shortly before the PL's and APL's. We had another meeting to find out who is in our patrol then what duties we are on.
Saturday morning we woke up with no hurry, wolverine patrol cooked breakfast then people biked, half went to the beach, others went canoeing. After all the fun playing we cam back for lunch cooked by the Dead Meat patrol. Then almost everyone went to the beach for the afternoon section of activities. Now at dinner Cougar's cooked. After dinner everyone was tried so we hung out by the fire roasting marshmallows or playing cards and games like that. After the fire we had mug up with nacho's. Then everyone went to bed around 11:30.
Sunday we had to pack up before breakfast made by the Buffalo wings. Then everyone pitched in to pack up the troop gear. Parents then started to arrive and crests were handed out, and the camp was over.
Over all i think it was a very good camp and should go to Valens more often.

6th Burlington All-Section Winter Camp 2007
I think this camp was cold. Even know it was cold we were all helping out and all trying to participate to keep warm. The food was good and the activities were well made. Our group was having fun and that is why everyone should not be afraid to go out to winter camps all you have to do is pack properly and then you'll be fine. This camp was a good skills camp because like every other winter camp you hade to deal with being cold and everyone who came did fine. The leaders were very helpful at making this camp a successful camp even know we were a very small group they had a lot of things to deal with. This was overall a nice addition to the rest of the winter camps and was another camp that I would recommend people doing next yearPs: the movie idea was a good idea because we were out of the cold for a while

Algonquin 2006

This camp was well prepared and planned. I think that even know the paddling was hard after a while everyone got used to the way. The camp was a weeklong camp and with some new scouts that were not used to a week camp they did well.
When we got there everyone was egger to get on the water and find our campsite and get the camp started. We canoed for a bit and after a while of canoeing and checking out if the camps were open we found our site. We cooked our food and swam and hiked a bit. After all the fun we were having it was already time to leave. After we stayed at the site for a bit of the week and then moved to a different site. When we got there we all were tired and wanted to finish this part. We all quickly finished our duties and began camping at our final campsite. After a couple of bear encounters we were set to go home.
We were all impressed with the work that went into this camp and all the work that the leaders did to make our camping a lot easier. This camp is a camp that every scout should try to attend it teaches helps you develop as a scout.

2006 Adirondack Camp
it was my first camp i had ever planned...it took along time to put together but in the end it turn out well. it was like any other winter camp ....except for fact there was no snow... we got to Manitou ..hiked up to the Adirondack with gear ...went back down for more gear the went back up to set up.we got up ..got what we need ready the planned for the next day the went to sleep.
our plans for the next day were to get up eat, go to the back woods to play some game like capture the flag, versions of hide and seek and others. we followed that plan up till lunch because after lunch we decided we would like to go to the caves across the road for the afternoon. everyone was up for that. we found new caves and ventured in old ones and visited some of the ones we always went to. we went back to camp hang around for a while the started on super. after we ate we had a small but awesome fire. we sang the strangest of songs told so awesome but mixed up stories and played some mind boggling games. we also went down to play a couple more games in the fields. we came back up to get ready to sleep. i think this was the first camp ever when i was tired before 11 pm. we cleaned up and were in the Adirondack by 10:30 almost.
in the morning we ate packed up and were on our way out of camp by 12ish.i would like to thanks Connor & Scouter Bill help plan and get it together.Scouter MJ Scouter Don & Scouter Dave to be there as leaders. would also like to thanks everyone who came out to make it a fun weekend!
